MediaPortal is a complete media solution that can be used to play DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, watch live TV or record favorite shows, listen to music and see your best pictures. A radio streaming feature is also integrated.

All media can be streamed across a network to allow any HTPC/ PC to play the same programs. Remote controls are compatible with the software, as well as web and mobile access let users enjoy the same functionality. Checking RSS feeds, the weather or the news becomes easy with this media tool.

Playback is smooth enough thanks to MPAR technology. AVR compatible, it further supports DTS, Dolby Digital and all HD formats. As an Open Source project, one can notice the amount of work that went into designing the sleek interface.
